You write beautifully about those moments of ugliness with which our brains afflict us. Love the interplay of your poetry with Kurt's own. Thank you for also reminding us about the moments of grace that others share. A higher power definitely had some hand in mixing ricotta and sugar into a heavenly mix of yum.
oh my god i’m so grateful to be alive at the same time as you, so grateful to witness your talent and to celebrate you, because you deserve to be celebrated. You’re a fucking legend. And above the brilliance of your choice of words and your references, the best thing about your work is your ability to remain human, to remain a source of relatability for someone like me. Thank you so so much.
there were times where I had to wait- not because, like, I needed to experience the beauty of life or keep a positive outlook or make it into adulthood. I waited one year because I wanted to see my Spotify wrapped. I waited another year because I wanted to see the SNL weekend update christmas episode. it never is the big stuff that keeps us going ironically. Hugs
When I interview or train nurses at my hospice house I always ask if they could take care of anyone on hospice, who would it be. I always answer Kurt. Stay safe
You really had to be saved a little too often for comfort in this story, and thank goodness you kept rolling boxcars. Have you read "Duma Key," by Stephen King? In there, he speaks of the need for "hedges against the dark" - things that can help keep you from getting too desperate.
I think King is a political tool, but he's still been a pretty great writer for an amazing amount of time.
This was a very touching read. Thank you for writing it. I'm a worried this might sound self absorbed, but this piece made a big difference for me. Something shifted. It seems like it did for you, too? Nevertheless, thank you. Best, C. H.
Not self absorbed at all, Cora! Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a very special piece for me to write and it makes my day to hear it brought you some solace.
I feel like commenting something other than "fuuuck me" would cheapen how staggering this is. thank god for cannolis.🖤
Literally saved my life probably

Very touching, thx for sharing. It's ultimately the little things that make life worth living, huh?
someone should have told Kurt
I don’t even now what to say, but glad you are here, is what first jumped to mind regardless.
Me too :)

"Dollface." Love it. Harkens back to the old Bogart film noir. Classic. Love it. Love it. Love it.
And another awesome write up. 🤙🏼
Thank you John

Welp. That’s all I need to read for the rest of my life. Fuck
You see why I had to go slam some shit around after writing this. The only way out is through.
Good work
